The Canon AE-1 & a 28mm lens is a great combo. I love shooting mine.

A new camera or a “new” camera? I think my AE-1 is almost as old as I am. I also am wanting a new DSLR or one of those new mirrorless one. Sadly my disposable income is pretty much non existent.

Well both. I want a “new” film camera and and I need a new DSLR. I am thinking of buying a 5DS R when I sell my 928. Cause that is a camera that can last me for years to come.

1Dx II might be more useful and last you just as long.

But that’s only 18 mp compared to 50 and costs regularly $1k+ more.

The 1DX II is 20.8 mp. The megapixel isn’t everything. The 1DX II has higher fps, probably better in low light, probably higher build quality (all metal), more focus points, etc.

The only real high point to the 5DS and 5DSR are the mp count.

I guess, I mean they are both full frame. I’ll look into it
